ABOUT
Welcome to my website I amTanya Talamante, a figurative artist trained in Bellas Artes of San Miguel de Allende
Mexico, I have lived and travelled all over the USA and Mexico, my art is a mixture of all these influences and
over the years has developed into a unique recognisable style.
I love what I do and I think that reflects in my work, I mostly work in Mixed Media using pigments, resins oils,
gold and silver leaf , I like to experiment whit unconventional techniques such as Tar, Nogalina, or coffee to
have the antique element in my paintings.
INSPIRATION
There is so much in the world that inspires me, Culture and Traditions from Mexico have been a major source
of inspiration for me for the past 10 years. And trying to show them to the world is such a unique experience,
I feel very blessed to be able to paint.
TEACHING
Is been an honor to teach, I started a few years ago in Guadalajara with a small group of students
And now oppening my own Studio in San Jose its amazing to see all creativity inside every student
some of them have never painted in theyre lifes and is just mesmerizing the work they are doing
My classes are very flexible and open, students can choosee from Collage, Gold leaf, Oils, Acrylics
and use one or all techniques in theyre work.
FAMILY
My Family is one of the most important part of my art, people who know them and see my paintings
always comment that each face I paint looks like someone from my family and I guess is true
I have them in my heart , I usually paint whit my kids playing next to me, my Mom is my biggest
promoter, I think she has sold over 100 of my paintings, and my husband has helped me build canvas
since before we were married.

I have lived Tijuana,San Diego,Cabo San Lucas, Phoenix, AZ, San Francisco, CA
Kennebunkport, Maine, Winooski, Vermont, and know back to San Jose del Cabo yei!!!
